The signal is spread across dozens of outlets, wires and blogs, and it is stale within the hour. Reading it in order tells you what happened. It does not tell you which way the mood moved on a given coin.
BlockBeat put the whole feed in one terminal and attached a sentiment score to every item that entered it.
A Full Crypto Intelligence Stack.
News aggregation. 60+ sources via NewsAPI.ai, a real-time feed with sub-minute latency from publication. Every major crypto media outlet, financial wire and influential blog, centralised in one terminal.
Sentiment engine. Each article scored bullish, bearish or neutral using NLP. Scores were aggregated per coin, BTC, ETH, SOL and more, and displayed as rolling sentiment curves updated in real time.
Price overlay. Live coin prices surfaced alongside relevant news, TradingView widgets embedded inline, and Supabase-cached price data updated on a tight polling interval.
AI newsletter. Every morning an AI-written newsletter hit subscribers' inboxes, a concise summary of the previous 24 hours in crypto, automatically generated from the aggregated feed.
A Terminal, Not A Blog.
Aesthetic. Full-bleed dark UI, monospace type throughout, green-on-black data displays, and a dense information layout designed for power users.
Filtering. Filter by publication, coin mention, sentiment polarity and time range. A custom feed took a few clicks to build.
History. BlockBeat ran for a year and a half before being shut down in 2024. The architecture lives on: the real-time aggregation and NLP pipeline have been adapted for other projects.
